Training With a Health Condition

A health condition is not a barrier to training — it changes how we train. I hold a Diploma in Exercise Referral, which qualifies me to work safely with clients managing a wide range of conditions.

  • Cardiovascular conditions — high blood pressure, previous heart attack or stroke
  • Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes — including blood sugar management during sessions
  • Joint and musculoskeletal conditions — arthritis, chronic back pain, hypermobility
  • Post-surgery recovery — cleared by your physio or consultant
  • Pregnancy and postnatal — with appropriate medical clearance

All packages available. Just let me know your condition when you get in touch — I'll ask you to complete a health questionnaire before your first session.

Everything you need
to know.

Do I need any equipment or space?
Not at all. I bring everything — kettlebells, resistance bands, suspension trainer, mats. A garden, terrace, pool deck, or beach is all you need.
Can you train groups or families?
Absolutely. Group sessions are one of my favourite things to do. The session cost is shared between the group — get in touch with your numbers and I'll put together a quote.
I have an injury or health condition. Can you still train me?
Yes. I hold a Diploma in Exercise Referral and work regularly with clients managing strokes, diabetes, chronic pain, and post-surgery recovery. I'll take a full health history before we start.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible, especially during peak season (December to April). A week or two before your trip is ideal. I do my best to accommodate last-minute requests where I can.
What time do sessions run?
Most clients prefer early morning sessions before the heat of the day — typically 6:30am to 9am. Afternoon and evening slots are also available depending on schedule.
Do package sessions expire?
Package sessions are valid for the duration of your stay in Barbados. If your plans change, just get in touch and we'll work something out.
What is The Retreat package?
The Retreat is a fully bespoke experience — a pre-arrival consultation, a programme built before you land, up to 10 sessions, WhatsApp support throughout your stay, and a post-trip home programme. Get in touch for a personalised quote.
